Dr Michael Tjeuw is a Consultant Rheumatologist who practices in Sydney and Tamworth.
Dr Tjeuw studied Medicine at the University of New South Wales. He trained across a number of major tertiary teaching hospitals in Sydney before commencing his training with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP). He undertook sub-specialty training in Rheumatology at Royal Newcastle Centre, The Prince of Wales and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals.
Upon gaining his fellowship to the RACP, Dr Tjeuw has been committed to providing high quality Rheumatological care in the private sector. Dr Tjeuw has consulting suites in Wahroonga and also provides a clinical service to inpatients at Sydney Adventist Hospital, affectionately known as The San. Dr Tjeuw is committed to providing specialist access in regional and rural NSW, and so also visits Tamworth monthly. Dr Tjeuw enjoys diagnostic challenges and the systemic nature of rheumatology.
Dr Tjeuw is passionate about medical education. He completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Professionals Education through Monash University in 2013. He is highly involved with medical student teaching at The San. He has a Clinical Lecturer appointment in the Sydney Medical School.
